This is the biggest and brightest full moon we will see this year. It's a "whopper" claims site. Since the moon's orbit is elliptical, it's orbit was closer to the earth and made the moon look 14% bigger and 30% brighter. I raced over at 4:30 and grabbed my neighbors so we could view it together. What a gorgeous sight.
After the storm on Thursday night, we were graced with a spectacular evening and sunset on Friday. The colors were just magnificent and the air was so cold and crisp.

Full moon rising.

My neighbor, Carol, and I in our Christmas colors with the moon between us. John F. Wilson is my noted photographer.
